Powerball Jackpot Up to $700 Million Wednesday

As hope springs eternal for those hoping to win the Powerball jackpot, that jackpot continues to grow.

Officials with the Missouri Lottery report that, due to strong ticket sales, Wednesday night’s Powerball jackpot has grown to an estimated $700-million dollars to a single winner.

That is the second largest Powerball jackpot in history, and the second largest jackpot among all North American lotteries.

If you win and take the cash option, that amount now stands at $443.3 million dollars.

Lottery officials point out that there are eight other prizes in Powerball, and last Saturday’s drawing resulted in two $1-million dollar winners and four $50,000 winners in Missouri.
