O'Fallon police have arrested two teenagers who they say broke into a cancer patient's home and stole his oxygen tanks, medication and alcohol.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the 17-year-old boys were being held at the St. Charles County Jail Tuesday night on robbery and burglary charges.

The Associated Press doesn't typically name juveniles accused of crimes.

Police say the boys and a third suspect used a rock to break through the window of the terminally ill man's O'Fallon home on Monday. They say the man was struck and restrained while the teens stole from him. He was later treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
