Plans for a downtown Columbia party zone tied to University of Missouri home football games have fizzled for the second year in a row. The Columbia Daily Tribune reports that the group of local business leaders who sought to organize a downtown "Tiger Town" on Missouri football weekends is again scrapping the plan. Businessman Greg Steinhoff says the group was unable to overcome opposition by some downtown bar owners.
