A Pittsfield man is in the Pike County Jail on home invasion charges.

According to Pittsfield Police Chief Kenneth Yelliott, officers received a report of a home invasion Tuesday.

The victims told police a man entered the residence, wearing bandanas to cover his face, along with gloves and a long sleeved shirt. The man showed a large knife or screwdriver and told one of the residents to come with him.

The victims forced the suspect out of the house and he fled.

A search warrant revealed evidence and the clothing the suspect had been wearing.

Taken into custody was 54 year old Mark Brown of Pittsfield, charged with Class X felony home invasion.
