The Hannibal Pirates'  game in St. Louis was moved back to 10 a.m. due to hot weather, but the Pirates generated heat of their own.

The Pirate football team rolled over the MICDS Rams 28 to 14 Saturday.

The  Pirates first drive saw Dalton Overstreet take a 4 yard pass in for a touchdown.  The Rams battled back to tie the score at 7 all.  Then Shamar Griffith put Hannibal up with a 35 yard touchdown in the second quarter. The Rams answered with another touchdown just before the half, tying the score at 14.

The score remained knotted up until 2 minutes and change to go in the game.  Shamar Griffith scored another TD, followed by Jerry McBride putting the game on ice by picking off a pass and running it in for another Pirate touchdown.

The Pirates travel to Jefferson City to take on Helias Saturday evening.
