Pettey Sentenced to Life

(MEXICO)--  Life in prison is the sentence for convicted Hannibal murderer Calvin Duane Pettey. A jury in June found Pettey guilty of first-degree murder in the 2010 killing of his fiancé, Sandra Fugate.    Pettey shot Fugate to death in the home they shared on Iowa Avenue in Hannibal  two days before they were to be married. Pettey’s girlfriend told authorities that he admitted to the killing.   The sentence was handed down in an Audrain County courtroom Monday afternoon. The case was moved out of Marion County on a change of venue
