Peoria Police Ask for Help Identifying Teen Shooting Victim
Peoria police are seeking the public's help in identifying a black teenager who was shot at least once in the head.
Lt. Scott Cook says the victim was found Monday evening and taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police say multiple shots were fired in the area and several vehicles were seen leaving the scene after the shooting. They say it's unclear whether passengers in those vehicles are witnesses or suspects.
Authorities say the victim is between 14 and 16 years old and is at least 5 foot, 5 inches tall. They say he has a medium complexion, thin build and short afro.
The (Peoria) Journal Starreports anyone with information is urged to contact the Peoria Police Department.
