Payne Convicted of Domestic Violence Charges

It took an Adams County Jury about an hour Thursday to find a Quincy man guilty of domestic violence charges.

40-year-old Chad Payne was convicted of two counts of domestic battery and one count each of armed violence and unlawful restraint.

Payne is alleged to have choked a woman and not allowed her or her daughter to leave an apartment in the 100 block of North Eighth last June 22.

Payne faces a sentencing hearing October 22. He is being held without bond in the Adams County Jail.
