A Quincy man gets county jail time and probation after pleading guilty to aggravated battery in January.

In Adams County Circuit Court Monday, 47 year old Christopher Patterson was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 30 months of probation in connection with an incident last June outside of Monroe School.

Patterson is alleged to have struck a woman with a handgun.

Patterson was also ordered to pay $5,872 in restitution and to wear a GPS monitor until the Probation Department decides otherwise.

Patterson had been a correctional officer in the Western Illinois Correctional Center in Mount Sterling at the time of his arrest, and had previously been a Quincy firefighter.
