The Palmyra Panthers sent a large Senior Night crowd home happy Friday night, as they retained the Mayor's Cup with a 42-6 win over Monroe City.

Palmyra scored twice in each of the first three quarters. Alex Bross opened the scoring as he scooped up a blocked punt and rambled 15 yards for the score. Dillan Parrish rumbled 91 yards for Palmyra's second score, and they never looked back. Quarterback Brock Butler ran for two TD's and passed for another.

Palmyra finishes the regular season at 5-4, while Monroe City falls to 1-8.

District play starts next week.
