The Palmyra Panthers got off to a good start, but it turned out to be all Brookfield Friday night, as the Bulldogs knocked off the visitors 34-6.

Palmyra's Phillip Bland took the opening kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown. About seven minutes later, Brookfield's Reed McBroom scored the first of his three touchdowns, giving the home squad a 7-6 lead. Brookfield took a 13-7 lead into the locker room at halftime, then scored three more times in the third stanza to nail down the win.

Brookfield remains undefeated in eight games. Palmyra falls to 5-3.
