Charges resulting from a high speed chase in Marion County result in 15 years of prison time.
Marion County Prosecuting Attorney David Clayton says Jerry Morris was sentenced Tuesday. Morris was sentenced on charges of resisting arrest… property damage and possession of methamphetamine following his arrest in late January. The sentences are to be served consecutively. Clayton says the defendant was previously placed on probation for possession of a controlled substance and posed a serious danger to the community by fleeing at a high rate of speed through rural and residential areas while under the influence of meth.
