Orders Being Taken Locally for Mark Twain Coins

If you’d like to place an order for the Mark Twain commemorative gold and silver coins locally, you have until 4 p.m. Thursday to do so.

Officials with the Boyhood Home and Museum will submit its first order with the U.S. mint for the coins, featuring images of the author and scenes from his books.

The price of the gold coin is currently $370, with the cost of the silver coin set at $45. A portion of every coin sold will benefit Twain sites in Hannibal, Connecticut, New York and California.
