Road closure signs are going up on one Ralls County roadway, while they are scheduled to come down on another.

Weather permitting, at 10 a.m. today (MON), MoDOT will close a section of Ralls County Route A east of New London for deck replacement of the Turkey Creek Bridge. The bridge is east of US 61 between Doe Run Road and Brookside Trail.

Some areas of Route A will remain open to residential traffic only. Others should use alternate routes US 61, MO 19, and Route H and A. The project is expected to last up to 38 working days.

Today also marks the reopening of the Spencer Creek Bridge on US 154, between Curryville and MO 19 in southern Ralls County. It closed about 6 weeks ago for deck replacement.  The contractor plans to reopen the bridge at noon.

MODOT officials say nearly 35 bridge projects are scheduled this year in northeast Missouri.
