An incident at a rural Palmyra residence results in one arrest Monday afternoon.

According to Marion County Prosecuting Attorney David Clayton, a man identified as Michael Dunn is alleged to have tried to strike Raymond Bock with his car in the driveway of Bock’s home just before 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Law enforcement officials arrived to find Bock holding Dunn and another man at gunpoint in front of his home, waiting for authorities to arrive.

Dunn faces charges of second degree assault by trying to run over a person, property damage, driving while intoxicated by drugs and fourth degree assault by threatening to shoot a person.

Clayton commended the Bock family for taking the necessary measures to protect their lives and their property.
