A man wanted on a felony warrant is in custody following a Tuesday night pursuit in Marion County.

Sheriff Jimmy Shinn says deputies noticed a man wanted on a parole violation in a pickup headed toward Palmyra on Missouri 168.

Shinn says the suspect—Jerry Morris—led officers on a pursuit along county roads. Two patrol cars were damaged as were some lawns and fences. A Missouri State Highway Patrol helicopter assisted in spotting Morris about 45 minutes later.

Morris was found hiding under a brush pile. He was taken to the Marion County Jail and is held on on 20 thousand dollars cash only bond on a variety of charges including assault on a law enforcement officer.
