JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Democratic Senator Claire McCaskill and Republican challenger Todd Akin are rallying supporters and encouraging volunteers as they make a final push toward Election Day. At a revival-style rally yesterday in Kansas City, Akin told about 150 supporters that he's sensing a lot of energy for his campaign. Participants were encouraged to grab a stack voting guides and distribute them at Sunday church services. McCaskill traveled to Columbia to encourage volunteers who were setting out to knock on more than 3,500 doors.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Missouri's election is wrapping up for six statewide offices and a presidential campaign. Receiving the most attention is the U.S. Senate race between Democrat Claire McCaskill and Republican Todd Akin.  Closer to home, the economy has been the marquee issue in the governor's race between Democrat Jay Nixon and Republican Dave Spence.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Initiatives dealing with tobacco taxes, appeals judges, health insurance exchanges and St. Louis police will appear on Missourians' ballots. There has been a full campaign over the tobacco measure, which would increase the state's tax on cigarettes from 17 cents per pack to 90 cents.
