Missouri Highway Patrol troopers report an officer involved shooting late Thursday night in Farber.

Officials with Troop F in Jefferson City say troopers and Audrain County Sheriff’s deputies were called to an apartment complex in the Trabue Drive area at 11:45 p-m. Officers made contact with a male in an apartment and armed with a shotgun. Police reports indicate the man moved toward officers and failed to obey commands. Officers discharged their weapons and the subject sustained gunshot wounds. He was taken to University Hospital in Columbia by helicopter for treatment. No other injuries are reported. The incident remains under investigation by the Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control and the Audrain County Sheriff’s Department.
