On Monday, May 19, 2014, the Northeast Missouri Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at the residence of Matthew Maziarka at 904 East Cleveland Street, Monroe City, Monroe County, Missouri. The Task Force was assisted by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and the Monroe City Police Department.

During the execution of this search warrant, items used to manufacture methamphetamine, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found. Maziarka was arrested and placed on a 24 hour hold for attempt to manufacture a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child.

On Tuesday, May 20, 2014, the Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney charged Maziarka with Attempt to Manufacture a Controlled Substance (Class B Felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class C Felony), and 1st Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child (Class C Felony). Monroe County Associate Circuit Judge Michael P. Wilson issued a warrant for Maziarka and set the bond at $85,000 cash only. Maziarka is being held in the Monroe County Jail.

On Thursday, May 22, 2014, the Task Force executed a search warrant at the residence of Jacqueline Childress at 121 Logan, Palmyra, Marion County, Missouri. During this search warrant, methamphetamine, items used to manufacture methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found. The Task Force was assisted by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Palmyra Police Department.

Childress was arrested and placed on a 24 hour hold for attempt to manufacture a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, distribution of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Childress was transported to the Marion County Jail where she remains.

On Friday, May 23, 2014, the Marion County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Childress with Attempt to Manufacture a Controlled Substance (Class B Felony) and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class C Felony). Marion County Associate Circuit Judge John Jackson issued a warrant for Childress with the bond set at $100,000 cash only.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
