The Missouri Highway Patrol has released its traffic crash numbers for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

The Highway Patrol reports that nine people lost their lives on Missouri’s highways over the weekend. That compares to 17 traffic deaths reported statewide in 2017.

Troopers also investigated 587 crashes that resulted in 108 injuries along with the nine deaths.

There were also 86 DWI arrests and 67 drug arrests.

Among the fatalities was 48 year old Aaron Williams of Farber, who was a passenger in a vehicle that left the road and struck a concrete barrier in Lincoln County Friday.
