The Marion County Prosecutor has filed new charges against a Hannibal man.

A preliminary hearing for 24-year-old Damark Rudd was cancelled Monday. However, Prosecutor David Clayton announced that the list of charges against Rudd now includes two counts of felony assault, one count of felony resisting arrest and one count of felony first-degree property damage.

Rudd is alleged to have been the driver of a car on January 24 that struck two other vehicles on North Main Street then crashed into trees and a fence on Fulton Avenue all while trying to elude police.

A passenger in the Rudd, an unidentified 23-year-old man, was struck by a bullet fired by a Hannibal Police officer. The man suffered non life-threatening injuries.
