Northeast Community Action Corporation offers programs to help area residents with their homes.

NECAC is looking for applicants for its home weatherization program. It's available to income-qualifying households and covers things like home energy audits, air leak sealing, insulation of walls and more. The program is open to residents of Lewis, Lincoln, Macon, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike, Ralls, Randolph, St. Charles, Shelby and Warren counties.

For homeowners in Monroe and Shelby counties, NECAC has partnered with Peoples Bank and Trust Company, Paris National Bank and Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines to offer up to $5,000 in home improvements for a $30 filing fee for eligible households.

And, NECAC can process direct no down payment home loans for USDA Rural Development.
