Crop conditions in Northeast Missouri are better than they were at this time last year.    The Agricultural Statistics Service says corn emergency is almost two weeks ahead of schedule and soybean planting is one week ahead of last year.
Heavy rains in the northern and eastern parts of the state limited many farmers from finishing their planting.
Meanwhile, the winter wheat crop is doing well, with 52 percent rated good and 17 percent rated excellent.
