Natural Gas Pipeline Break Near Bowling Green

No injuries are reported following a break in a natural gas pipeline.

Emergency crews were called for break in the Rockies Express natural gas pipeline north of Bowling Green early Thursday evening. Around 50 homes within a one mile radius were evacuated.

Pike County Emergency Management officials say the break occurred a mile west of US 61 and two miles north of Bowling Green. Gas flow to the line is shut off as pipeline crews check on the damage.
