Every day, police officers sacrifice much to protect and serve their communities. In calendar year 2012, across our great nation 120 police officers gave the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good: Their Lives.

On Wednesday, May 15th, 2013 the Quincy Police Department will honor all fallen police officers with a brief ceremony. In recognition of this important day, the American Flag is flown at half-staff. Please join us on May 15th in the Quincy City Hall Plaza at 8:30 a.m. At that time, the Quincy Police Honor Guard will lower the flags to half-staff. The public is welcome to attend. The ceremony is scheduled to start at 8:30; please come early. In case of rain, we will gather in the City Council Chambers. Thank you.
