A plea deal Friday results in a guilty plea to a reduced charge and a sentence of time served.

41 year old Nathaniel Fortney pleads guilty to Unlawful visitation interference Friday in Adams County Circuit Court.

A more serious charge of child abduction was dropped as part of the plea deal.

As a result, Fortney was sentenced to the time already served in the Adams County Jail.

Fortney and two juveniles are alleged to have taken Fortney’s 18-month-old son out the back of his home on South 36th Street on April 27th when the child’s mother came to pick him up.

Fortney was arrested two days later with the child in Commerce, Oklahoma.
