What has become a summer mainstay in historic downtown Hannibal begins Thursday, June 5.

Music Under the Stars opens its eighth season with the local favorite "Steppin' Back" taking to the stage at 7 p.m.

A variety of musical styles will be represented in the concert series, which continues every Thursday night through the end of July.

The grounds of the Mark Twain Boyhood Home once again serves as the setting for the concerts, which are free to the public.

A number of businesses and organization will provide food and drink for the evenings.
