Motorcycle SUV Crash Injures One

(QUINCY)—A collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV at US 24 and North Fifth at 9:38 Sunday night results in injuries for the motorcyclist and charges against the SUV driver. Illinois State Police say 20 year old Dakota Clary of Quincy was westbound on 24 when an SUV driven by 20 year old Jonathan Matuszak failed to stop at the intersection and pulled into the path of the motorcycle. Clary told police he tried to avoid the collision but hit the rear bumper causing his motorcycle to overturn. Clary was taken to Blessing Hospital for treatment. Police say Matuszak left the scene and was later located in the 2600 block of West Valley View. He’s charged with failure to yield at a stop sign… failure to render aid and leaving the scene of an accident.
