Two Quincy residents suffer injuries after a motorcycle crash in southeast Missouri. According to the Highway Patrol, the crash happened in Wayne County at 1:18 p.m. Saturday.

Troopers report 56-year-old Allen Hathaway was riding a Harley Davidson eastbound on MO 34 near Patterson. Hathaway’s cycle began skidding and struck the rear of an eastbound car. The collision caused the cycle to overturn. Hathaway and his passenger, 53-year-old Jody Uppinghouse of Quincy, were thrown from the bike.

Hathaway sustained serious injuries and was flown to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Uppinghouse suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center by ambulance.
