An attorney for a Hannibal man accused of stealing from a Hannibal church destroyed by fire wants more time to file pre-trial motions.
The request was filed in U.S. District Court of Eastern Missouri.  Donald White faces two federal counts of wire fraud. He is accused of stealing more than 300-thousand dollars from the Antioch Baptist Church near Hannibal. The church building burned in December of 2016. White was arrested following an extensive investigation following the blaze. White was an elder and long time treasurer of the church. Parishioners suspected White of being involved in a large scale theft of church funds prior to that fire.
