(Wayland, Mo)—The Clark County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate a stabbing at the scene of a fire Wednesday night.  Around 8:20 p.m., deputies were notified of a fire at Goldie’s Sawmill just south of Wayland. Fire personnel from Wayland, Clark County, and Alexandria arrived to find the saw mill fully engulfed in flames.  Deputies say around 8:45 p.m., a stabbing occurred at the scene, resulting in two people rushed to area hospitals by ambulance.  Authorities continue to investigate whether the stabbing was in self-defense, or an assault.  The fire continues to be investigated by the Missouri State Fire Marshall’s Office.
