Monroe City Man Sentenced on Child Porn Charges

(MONROE CITY)--A Monroe City man enters a guilty plea to to child pornography and statutory sodomy charges. Court records show, 50-year-old Daniel Hemphill also pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of a child. Six other charges were dropped as part of a plea deal. A search last August of Hemphill’s Monroe City home reportedly turned up hundreds of sexual images of children. He was arrested after moving to Quincy during a 90 day investigation. Sentencing is August 21st.
