Monroe City Grain Elevator Building Fire

Fire heavily damages a drive in shed at the Hassard Grain Elevator in Monroe City.

The alarm came in around mid day on Monday. A semi was in the shed but it was safely removed. The building is a total loss. Monroe City firefighters kept the fire from nearby propane and diesel fuel tanks. No injuries are reported.
