Resurfacing work is planned on four routes in Marion County.
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission says Chester Bross Construction is the successful bidder on the projects. Work includes resurfacing and diamond grinding of I-72 from US 61 to the Mississippi River… resurfacing of the eastbound lane of US 36 from west of Monroe City to Marion County Route H and the eastbound lanes of 36 from 1.8 miles east of US 24 and 61 to US 61. Cost of those projects is 5.49 million dollars. A second contract for 6.8 million dollars is awarded for resurfacing work on US 24/61 from three tenths of a mile north of Route F to three miles east of US 61. MODOT will announce at a later date when work on those projects will begin.
