MO Hunting and Tourism Dollars

(JEFFERSON CITY)--Every year hunters spend 1-point-1 billion dollars in Missouri. That’s leading Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry CEO Dan Mehan to push for development of a sportsman’s economy. Mehan says he hopes the Chamber can get the attention of elected officials who are being challenged by a tough budget year to continue spending on tourism in general. Attracting hunters from surrounding states could be a major source of tourist-type spending here.
