Missouri’s Minimum Wage Increases

(Jefferson City)—The Minimum Wage for most workers in Missouri increases January 1.

The Missouri Department of Labor has set the new rate at $7.50 per hour for 2014.  Businesses in the state are required to pay the minimum unless their annual retail or service gross sales are less than $500,000.

Compensation for tipped employees must also total at least $7.50 per hour in 2014.
