Missouri State Highway Patrol Captures Man After Lengthy Pursuit Through Multiple Counties
A lengthy pursuit Tuesday by the Missouri Highway Patrol ends with a Wright City man in the Marion County Jail.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says they pursued 30-year-old Daremiah Gibson of Wright City along I-70 from the Warren County/Montgomery County line. Troopers noticed a small child in the car and backed off. The car stopped briefly and a woman and small child got out and the pursuit resumed along I-70 and north on US 63. The car continued through Randolph and Macon counties before coming to stop on a county road in Shelby County. Troopers say the driver ran out of gas.
Gibson was taken into custody without incident. He was wanted on a felony probation and parole warrant and on charges for fraud and bad checks. Gibson now faces several traffic charges too.
