Hannibal School District #60 is the  subject of an upcoming audit by the Missouri State Auditor’s office.

Audit manager Bobby Showers says no grievances have been filed and that the late Auditor Tom Schweich wanted his office to conduct a review of a sizeable school district outside major metropolitan areas.

Auditors look at internal controls and compliance with legal provisions and economy and efficiency of management decisions and operations. The audit process is expected to take around two months with a scheduled start of March 30.

Findings of the audit will be presented to the school board.
