Missouri Primary Tuesday

Missourians go to the polls Tuesday.

Statewide issues voters will consider include Constitutional Amendment 1 regarding the right to farm. Amendment 5 involves a state declaration of the right to bear arms. A sales tax proposal of three-quarters of one percent earmarked for roads and highways appears on the ballot as Amendment 7. Amendment 8 would create a Veterans Lottery Ticket, while Amendment 9 seeks to protect electronic communications from unreasonable searches and seizures.

Voters in Tuesday’s Primary will also choose party candidates for office including U.S. Representative in District 6 in northern Missouri. The Marion County Democratic ballot includes races for Recorder of Deeds and Collector. In Ralls County, voters will choose whether to make the Prosecuting Attorney’s job a full-time position.
