A Missouri man is facing up to 20 years in federal prison for robbing a Hamburg bank.

U.S. Attorney Nicholas Klinefeldt says 47-year-old Nathan Wayne Smith was found guilty Friday of robbing a Great Western Bank branch in Hamburg in June 2012.

Prosecutors say Smith gave a teller a plastic bag and demanded that it be filled with money. Then the Lexington, Mo., man ran from the bank.

Smith was arrested on the day of the robbery in Buckner, Mo., which is about 150 miles southeast.

Smith is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 29.
