(Macon, Mo)—The Missouri Highway Patrol will soon team up with local law enforcement to get intoxicated drivers off area roadways.

The “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign starts August 16 and runs through Labor Day. Troopers will be conducting saturations and sobriety checkpoints throughout the Troop B area of Northeast Missouri.

Officers remind drivers that impaired driving can result in tragic consequences and a DWI conviction means jail time plus financial implications including legal expenses and higher insurance costs.
