The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission brings its monthly meeting to Hannibal Thursday.

The commission meets at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Missouri Department of Transportation District Office on Highway 61.

The commission meets in Jefferson City when the state legislature is in session, spending the rest of the year holding meetings around the state.

Commission Chairman Gregg Smith says his group is interested in learning more about transportation issues and needs in northeast Missouri and invites the public to Thursday’s meeting.

Among the scheduled speakers at the meeting will be members of the Tri-State Development Summit and the U.S. 54 Corridor Group.
