(UNDATED)-- Just under half of Missouri’s corn crop has matured.

The government’s latest numbers show that corn is a month behind the stage it was at this time last year, but only 11 days behind normal. Ten percent of the crop already has been harvested.   Almost all the soybean crop is done setting pods, which is two days ahead of normal. Almost a third of the crop has begun to change color.    And a very few producers have begun planting winter wheat.
