Mississippi River levels continue to fall. The National Weather Service says the Mississippi should be back below technical flood stage at Canton by Wednesday.

The Mississippi at Quincy is at 23.03 this morning.

The river at Hannibal today is at 23.46 with the Mississippi expected to fall back below the 16 foot technical flood stage by next Sunday.

The Missouri State Emergency Management Agency is scheduled to be in Clarksville on Monday to assess flood damage. A representative of the agency will also discuss what can be done to help prevent future flooding. Clarksville would like to buy a three-and-a-half million dollar portable flood wall, but doesn’t have the money.
