Authorities will use dental records to confirm whether remains found in a car belong to a missing central Illinois woman who disappeared late last month.

The (Peoria) Journal Star reports  Julie Peters' overturned car was pulled from the Illinois River Monday afternoon. A woman's body was found inside.

The 23-year-old Edwards woman was last seen Sept. 28 when she left an American Legion in Chillicothe for a wedding reception. The submerged car was found two blocks away.

The vehicle was discovered by two researchers who were scanning the river for Asian carp.

Peoria County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll says her office hopes to identify the body Tuesday.
