Mickels Pleads Guilty in Quincy Home Invasion Case

A Hannibal woman pleads guilty Monday to charges resulting from a 2017 Quincy home invasion.

In Adams County Circuit Court, 33 year old Katie Mickels pleaded guilty to attempted home invasion, aggravated battery and possession of methamphetamine.

As a result, Mickels was sentenced to eight years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Mickels is alleged to have fled the scene of a traffic crash on August 2nd of 2017. Later that night, a woman reported that someone had entered her home in the 1400 block of North 15th and battered her.

Mickels will be sentenced June 27th. She remains in the Adams County Jail on over a half-million dollars bond.
