Memorial Day in Quincy / Hannibal – What’s Open and What’s Closed?

Memorial Day is May 28th. On this day we remember the sacrifice of those that have given their lives in defense of our country. This holiday has also come to mark the “unofficial start of summer.” Here is a list of events, businesses, attractions and services and their Memorial Day schedules. Library: Closed the 27th and 28th. Summer hours begin on the 29th.

Post Office/Mail Delivery: Closed

YMCA: Closed the 27th and 28th.

Kroc Center: Open regular operating hours, 5am – 10pm.

Quincy Museum: Closed

City Offices: Closed

Garbage Pickup: Normal pick up

Quincy Art Center: Closed

YMCA: Open 10am – 2pm

Mark Twain Museum: Open

Hannibal Arts Council: Closed

Sawyer’s Creek: Open 10a – 10p

Hannibal Ramp Park: Open

Hannibal Aquatics Center: Season opens Memorial Day Weekend

Mark Twain Cave: Both caves, campground and shops open all weekend
