Memorial Bridge Re-opening Delayed

Discovery of additional needed repairs means a delay in the re-opening of the Quincy Memorial Bridge.

Necessary steel for the repairs is being fabricated. Illinois Department of Transportation officials say they hope to complete the work by late October. Two way traffic will continue on Bayview Bridge until the work is complete.
