McVey to Step Down as Cavemen Manager/GM at End of Season

Less than four months after taking the job, the Hannibal Cavemen’s new Manager and General Manager announces he will leave at the end of the 2015 season.
Greg McVey revealed in a press release Tuesday that he will leave after the coming 2015 Prospect League season to take over as Athletic Director at Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Missouri.

McVey said it was a difficult decision to make, but that it made sense for his family and his career. He also emphasized that he is fully committed to being the General Manager and Field Manager of the Cavemen through the 2015 season.

Before coming to the Cavemen, McVey had been Athletic Director at Culver Stockton College.
