Quincy’s Mayor emphasized the positive in his annual State of the City speech Friday.

Mayor Kyle Moore spoke to the Quincy Exchange Club, talking mostly about the accomplishments of the city and its people over the past year.

Among the programs covered by the mayor were the Downtown Rental Rehab program, a partnership between the city and The District, the Quincy Promise program, an effort launched by John Wood Community College with the Great River Economic Development Foundation and Quincy University’s QU Trust Scholarship Program.

Moore also spoke at length about the recovery efforts of the city and its people in the wake of the severe storm that blew through Quincy last July, causing nearly two million dollars in damage.
